Support WWU Women's Rugby

The WWU Women's Rugby Team was established in 1977, and has been growing as a club over the past 40 years. Last year, our team was more competitive, passionate and driven than ever before. We went undefeated in the CCWRC league, and made it to USA Rugby's Sweet 16 Regional Playoffs. We had the pleasure of hosting Regionals here on our own home turf in Bellingham, WA with teams joining us from as far as California and Arizona. Unfortunately, we fell short in a tough match against Grand Canyon University, our biggest competition last year. Our team has been a part of the CCWRC DII league until recently where we have moved up to the PMRC Division 1 league this year. We plan to grow as a competitive team in this league where our skills will be tested and we will become stronger as a team. We will be competing with University of Washington, Washington State University, Oregon State University, University of Oregon, and Boise State. We have a great volunteer coaching staff, with Michael Mauger as our head coach and Chris Rowell as our Assistant Coach. We have been very fortunate and appreciative of them donating their time and dedication to this team. 

As a club team, most of our team funds come from the players and fundraising efforts. Support from friends, family, and our community is so important for us. Every year we are very appreciative of all the help we get which allows us to cover travel costs and necessary equipment. We are asking for your donations to help us!
