The College of Business and Economics (CBE) Gala is a student-run event to give students a sense of community and engage with peers and faculty. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for this year’s Gala and save extra funds for the future. Community involvement from alumni, faculty, and local supporters is essential to the success of the CBE gala. Their participation fosters mentorship, networking, and financial support that empowers students to bring their vision to life. This event also highlights the growing number of CBE student-run clubs that help foster a sense of community in our college.
This year’s Gala is occurring on April 24th from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the Viking Union Multi-Purpose room. Students, alumni, and faculty are encouraged to come and network with one another. This encourages students to practice their networking skills and fosters a sense of community. The Gala will feature a raffle, speakers, and tables for clubs to represent themselves. Overall, the theme of this year’s gala is to celebrate the student’s accomplishments over the past year and say goodbye to those who are graduating.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for the 2025 CBE Gala, and future student-run events. Your donation will go towards renting the venue, food, decorations, and live music. Having more money towards these causes is important to show student, faculty, and alumni appreciation. We hope that the gala will continue to grow as it is carried forward by the next generation of students. What makes the WWU CBE special is the collaboration between students, faculty, and alumni to bring new opportunities and continually grow a sense of community.
