Viking Family- Help Support our amazing Student-Athletes!

Viking Family,

Be sure to watch the video at the top of this page for a brief glimpse into the amazing 2022 season we had last fall!  Shoutout to Jeff Evans, our Director of Communications, for creating such great content for us all year. The players, coaching staff, and athletic department worked extremely hard to represent WWU Women's Soccer, and as a program we are very proud of what we accomplished- winning the 2022 NCAA Division II National Championship!

As we prepare and train for our upcoming season we invite you to invest in the WWU Women's Soccer program to help elevatethe overall experience for our student-athletes both on and off the field. We have set a new Goal this year is to raise $18,000 thanks to generous support from fans, alumni, and parents and the great things we could do with the additional funding.

That $18,000 would go towards:

  • GEAR: FOR BOTH TRAINING AND GAMES AS WELL AS APPAREL FOR BOTH TRAVEL AND HOME

Our goal is to make sure the players have the proper gear to be successful for any type of weather we might play in.  This includes providing them (to name a few) both short and long sleeved jerseys, short and long sleeved training tops, hoodie sweatshirts, zip-up hoodie sweatshirts, puffy coats, rain jackets, training shorts and pants.

  • TRAVEL: SUCH AS PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO COMPETE AGAINST THE TOP TEAMS IN THE COUNTRY, AS WELL AS LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF SCHOOL MISSED BY AFFORDING BETTER FLIGHT OPTIONS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING THE OPPORTUNITY FOR FUN ACTIVITIES

We aim to miss as little school as possible when travelling, and being able to change our flights in order to accommodate this is crucial to the success of our student-athletes.  We also like to be able to offer our players unique experiences on the road, and some of those activities cost money.  This year, we were able to be honored at halftime of the Division I Women's Basketball Elite 8 Game at Climate Pledge Arena!

  • TEAM MEALS: BOTH ON THE ROAD AND AT HOME DURING PRE-SEASON, CONFERENCE PLAY, AND THE POST SEASON IS ESSENTIAL TO THE SUCCESS ON THE FIELD

Being able to provide a meal for our players during the pre-season, or during the beginning of the post season is a great way to promote and foster team chemistry, as well as give our players a chance to spend time together off the field.  This group seems to really enjoy Jimmy John's!  Shoutout to the Ziemer's for hosting us for a team meal last fall!

  • EQUIPMENT:  TO CONTINUE TO SUPPLEMENT AND UPDATE OUR TRAINING EQUIPMENT TO ADD TO SESSIONS, AS WELL ADD TO OUR LOCKER ROOM TO ENHANCE THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE FOR OUR PLAYERS

We are so lucky to have one of the most beautiful facilities in the country to train and play our games on.  With your help, we can continue to update our training equipment (training sticks, ladders, soccer balls, etc.) which will elevate our training sessions and help us get one step closer to our goals each day.  We also are so lucky to have a locker room at the field for our players to be able to utilize everyday.  We are always looking for new ways to make this space better for our players, and with your help we can create a space that they will be proud to call their own.

By donating to our program you will be enhancing either our team gear, travel, help sponsor a team meal, or help us purchase and maintain our training equipment. More importantly, your donation will be providing opportunities for growth with each of our student-athletes not only as soccer players, but as people.  Every gift helps! Each donation will go directly back to the student-athletes in one of the ways listed above. We truly appreciate your investment in these amazing young people.

We also invite you to support the team by attending games, as well as by sharing our VikingFunder on your social media outlets.  The more our Viking Family can grow, the better!

Thank you to our Senior Class for all that they did for our program.  Karina, Allison, Dayana, Zola, Tera, Gracie and Caylie, we wish you the best in your next adventure!
