To our Viking Track & Field and Cross Country Alum, we have asked many of you “what was the best part of being a WWU Athlete?” Many answers came with a common theme – Opportunities to travel and the friendships cultivated and comradery shared with teammates. Conference championships, trips to California or just the short trips to Tacoma, there is something bonding about traveling together.
Would you be willing to help give these experiences to today's Vikings?
We are asking our WWU T&F and XC alum to raise $15,000 to support our travel budget. This will give us the means to go on some really cool trips such as our trip to southern California where we compete at three meets including the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, our Cross Country trip to esteemed Lewis Invitational, or giving the opportunity to our last few qualifiers of our Outdoor GNAC Conference Championship.
These trips cost us between $15k and $25k each, which adds up quick! But you can help! We have a list of over 1,000 T&F and XC alum. If one third of you were to give $59 or more we could raise our goal of $15,000! Will you be one to help us give these incredible competitive opportunities? A gift at this level will ensure that our WWU Track & Field and Cross Country team will have EVERYTHING they need to be successful.
